WHY Newspapers remain RELEVANT

• Organizers of National Newspaper Week have prepared a special presentation that can be given by Association Managers, publishers, editors or sales directors.

• Ideally, presentations could be delivered to community groups or to others interested in hearing from the newspaper about its role in producing trusted journalism.

• The material is based on resources developed by The Relevance Project and its partners, including Metro Creative Graphics. For additional information, consult www.relevanceproject.net Or, contact Executive Director Tom Silvestri (tas@relevanceproject.net)

• Feel free to localize or supplement this message with your own logos, examples, statements, or relevant points. Note: The Relevance Project content is available to all local newspapers free of charge, thanks to its sponsor, Newspaper Association Managers.

• Good luck on spreading the word about the Relevance of Newspapers!

2022 International Newspaper Carrier Day Ad

Each year, we recognize the accomplishments of newspaper carriers who are working hard to get the newspaper into the hands of our readers.

This year, the newspaper industry has designated Saturday, October 8, 2022, as International Newspaper Carrier Day, a salute to the many newspaper carriers who deliver the news to Americans every week.

For questions about the 2022 International Newspaper Carrier Day ads, contact Alliance Director, Communications, Lindsey Loving.

  1. Great information on the value of local news. I started editorial cartooning many years ago with a local newspaper. Since then I’ve become syndicated with Creators. I owe a great deal to that local paper for giving me a chance back in 1997 and having the patience to stick with me.

Here’s my recent cartoon celebrating the role of the local paper in democracy.

    Keep up the good work.
